About the role
Millie is seeking a part-time OBGYN (1.5 day work week plus call) physician to join our team in Berkeley, CA. We are looking for someone who:
- Is interested in joining an innovative practice with room for growth into leadership positions
- Has a desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and OBGYNs from collaborating practices
Your responsibilities
- Consult on and co-manage our moderate to higher risk perinatal patients
- Provide complex gynecology care including office procedures and potential for surgeries when volume increases
- Schedule:
- Home call, shared with a local OBGYN practice, approximately 1:4 week days (24hr call) and 1:4 weekends (72hr call)
- One to two clinic and/or surgical days per week.
- Support our CNMs in providing basic office gynecology services including medication abortion
- Collaborate with other team members (CNMs, lactation consultants, nutritionists, therapists, doulas, etc.) to enable optimal patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients during and between appointments to ensure questions are answered and concerns are addressed by leveraging Millie’s app and technology.
About you
We are looking for a compassionate and driven OBGYN who has:
- Board Certification. Must be eligible to obtain a CA medical license or be currently licensed to practice in CA
- Current DEA license
- Comfort providing full scope OBGYN care
- Experience working with Certified Nurse Midwives
- A commitment to health equity and racial justice work
- A commitment to providing unbiased, patient-centered care
- Commitment to reproductive justice and supporting principles of bodily autonomy, self-determination, and cultural respect

About Millie
Millie is reimagining the maternity experience for hospital-based births. We aim to provide complete, inclusive, and empowering care with better maternal health outcomes by employing a collaborative OBGYN & Midwifery model, as well as interdisciplinary care, and robust perinatal educational and psychosocial support.
Our perinatal patients are supported by a Millie Guide (practicing doula) who prepares them for childbirth, postpartum recovery, chest/breastfeeding and newborn care. Our patients also have access to the Millie app, which includes an extensive perinatal curriculum. All of our perinatal patients have extensive postpartum support, including a postpartum home visit. Our Berkeley, CA in-person clinic provides a warm and welcoming environment for holistic perinatal care. We partner with Alta Bates Hospital for our labor and delivery services.
