Millie — Modern maternity & gynecology care in the Bay Area
Maternity care and gynecology for you
A new kind of women's health clinic that cares for you through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Get the individualized care, continuous guidance, and judgement-free support you deserve.
With you before, during, and after pregnancy
Maternity
Complete care that starts as soon as you find out you’re pregnant. Longer, more frequent appointments, birth planning with a doula, hospital birth, a home postpartum visit, and evidence-based resources in the Millie app, plus support through the first year.
Gynecology
Compassionate gynecology care with in-person and virtual services including annual wellness exams, preconception counseling, fertility assessments, IUD/birth control options, and miscarriage care. Open to anyone, not just Millie maternity patients.
Perimenopause & Menopause
Expert care from hormonal health specialists, to ease symptoms and protect your long-term health. Personalized care plans that include the full range of evidence-based treatments—from hormone therapy to lifestyle approaches. Open to anyone, not just Millie maternity patients.
Classes & Other Support
Workshops, classes, and support groups that prepare you for birth and parenthood, plus specialist appointments with lactation consultants, nutritionists, and therapists when you need more support.
Our model
Midwifery-led care backed by OBs and specialists
Certified Nurse Midwives
The primary clinicians for maternity and gynecology care at Millie, with OB-GYNs co-managing care when more is needed. Trained and licensed as both registered nurses and midwives. Known for their intimate knowledge of pregnancy and labor, with a low intervention approach that creates better outcomes.
Extensive research shows that CNMs are the ideal care providers for most pregnancies. When midwives are involved in pregnancy care, there are fewer unnecessary medical interventions, higher rates of vaginal births after cesarean section, and higher patient satisfaction.
OB-GYNs
Doctors and surgeons trained to perform cesarean sections, vacuum or forcep deliveries, and other procedures in more complex pregnancies. Some OBs further specialize to become Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists or perinatologists.
At Millie, partner OB-GYNs co-manage care alongside Millie midwives when additional expertise is needed to manage your pregnancy.
Doulas
Professionals trained to provide educational and emotional support throughout the experience of having a baby. Every patient at Millie is paired with a Millie Guide, a practicing doula who meets with you each trimester to go over key topics like creating birth preferences and postpartum planning.
Your Millie Guide is also available to answer questions that come up between visits through the Millie app.
Specialists
An integrated team of lactation consultants, nutritionists, therapists, and other specialists who are available for appointments when needed to help make sure you and your baby are thriving.
